VARSITY
The boys varsity basketball district tournament will be played at Capital and Boise High Schools.
February 14, 18, 21, 22, and 24
Timberline will enter the tournament as the #7 seed and face either #10 Eagle in a District Play-In game, hosted by Timberline on February 11th at 7:00 pm. Winner will advance to the 8-team District Tournament Bracket while the loser of this one game will be finished for the season. GO WOLVES!
FEBRUARY 11th:
The Wolves stormed out to a 15-5 1st Quarter lead and never looked back, defeating the Eagle Mustangs 60-35. The boys move on to the District Tournament on Tuesday to face the Boise Braves at Capital High School at 6:00 pm. GO WOLVES!
FEBRUARY 14th:
In the first round of the district tournament, Boise jumped out to a 10-2 lead over the Wolves and THS could never really recover. Late in the 4th quarter, Timberline hit some timely shots to pull within 2 (31-33), but Boise responded quickly with 2 big three pointers and pulled away with a 46-35 victory.
Timberline will face Capital in a loser-out game on Saturday, February 18th at Boise High School at 7:30. (updated bracket link at the top of this page)
JUNIOR VARSITY
The boys JV basketball district tournament will be played at Timberline High School.
February 11, 13, & 15.
Timberline enters the tournament as the #8 seed and will face top-ranked, Borah at 12:00 Saturday, February 11th at Timberline High School. The Wolves just faced off against Borah on Thursday night and lost a close battle, so come support the boys as they look to knock off the #1 team.
February 11th:
?The JV Boys team knocked off the top ranked Borah Lions in the first round of the District Tournament on Saturday, 52-39. They will play #5 Boise at 6:00 on Monday, February 13th at Timberline High School in the semifinals.
February 13th:
Timberline faced the Braves on Monday night in the semifinals of the District Tournament. The Wolves took a slim 18-16 lead into halftime. THS scored the first three points of the second half to extend the lead to 21-16, but then couldn't find the bottom of the net for the next 8 minutes while the Braves extended it's lead to 31-21. But with less than two minutes to go in the game, Timberline came roaring back with big 3-pointers and timely defense. Unfortunately, the run came too late and after missing 3 of their last 4 free throws, Boise prevailed 45-46.
Congratulations Wolves on a good season and for fighting until the end.
SOPHOMORE
?The Sophomomre District Tournament will be played at Borah High School.
February 11, 13, & 15.
The Sophomore Team enters the tournament as the #2 team and will play against the 7th seeded Mt. View Mavericks at 12:00 at Borah High School on Saturday, February 11th. Good Luck Boys!
February 11th:
The Sophomore Boys Basketball team won it's first round matchup against Mt. View, 48-30. Next up they will take on the 6th seeded Eagle Mustangs on Monday, February 13th at 7:30 pm at Borah High School.
February 13th:
ON TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME! Timberline defeated Eagle 55-40 in the semifinals of the District Tournament on Monday night. They will face Rocky Mountain on Wednesday at 6:00 at Timberline High School. Good Luck Boys!
February 15th:
In the District Championship game, Timberline scored the first basket on a 3-pointer in the corner. It was the last time the Wolves led the entire game as Rocky went on a 12-0 run. Timberline fought back and trailed 17-23 at halftime, but couldn't ever get closer than that, losing 31-52.
